I am Assistant Professor of Economics, in particular Regional Inequality, at the Mercator School of Management (MSM) at the University of Duisburg-Essen. I am also a Research Fellow at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB), an IZA Research Fellow, and a Research Affiliate at RF Berlin.

My main research area is labor economics. My research aims to understand the causes of inequalities in the labor market, often in the context of economic shocks.
